6 Reasons why you should watch "Kieta Hatsukoi"
tv asahi
Kieta Hatsukoi (Vanishing My First Love, My Love Mix Up!) is a highly anticipated tv series that will be released on Netflix soon. It's a story about Aoki who has a crush on Hashimoto, the girl in the seat next to him in class. But he despairs when he borrows her eraser and sees she's written the name of another boy—Ida—on it. To make matters more confusing, Ida sees Aoki holding that very eraser and thinks Aoki has a crush on him. Adopted from manga with the same title, Kieta Hatsukoi dorama is planned to have 10 episodes. And here are the reasons why you should be watching it!
1. Romance? Comedy? Why not both!
The story is focusing on a high schooler first love with their nature who are still emotionally unstable and awkward. They definitely don't understand what love is and all the other relatively new feelings. Aoki's demeanor who is an air-headed and Ida's characteristics who is a serious guy, honest and mature. They way both of them reacts to the feeling of love is so funny and awkward as they try to explore the feelings while get to know each other more. The behavior of each characters who have different but complementary traits can make you laugh until your stomach hurt.

2. Perfect Casting
When a manga were adapted to live action, there are definitely a lot of pros and cons, obviously. There are delighted fans upon hearing the news, and of course on the other side, there are sceptical fans who are afraid that the adaption won't do well as they expected to be. Some people says that there are no such a thing as perfect casting, but! We have the most perfect, suitable casting ever! Michieda Shunsuke as Aoki Sota, Meguro Ren as Ida Kousuke, Fukumoto Rio as Hashimoto Mio dan Suzuki Jin as Aida Hayato/Akkun. Here's the comparison between each character!
3. Double Soundtrack
Starred by two actors from two different idol group under Johnny's & Associates agency, this dorama is a big catch for the two groups to sing the theme song. Snow Man, which is Meguro Ren's group, will released their 5th single "Secret Touch", a sad medium ballad that express the appearance, the joy, and anxiety when you like someone, and the light and sad feelings.
Meanwhile, Michieda Shunsuke's group, Naniwa Danshi, will be releasing their debut single "Ubu Love", is a song that expresses the sparkle of first love.
The theme songs are like pollar opposite from each other, just like the characters both actors are portraying.
4. Short Duration
Most dorama have 54-56 minutes duration per episode, but Kieta Hatsukoi only have 24-25 minutes! Suitable for busy people who only has short free time or wanted to watch a dorama in between their activities. But of course for fans, the short duration isn't enough to satisfied their heart who have been waiting for one whole week.
5. Heart warming side story
Even though it looks like a trianglr love story at the firsr sight, in the end of the day, Aoki won't have any love rival (we will not suffer from second male lead syndrome!). In fact, Aoki's first crush has her own story. Not a smooth one like Aoki's, Akkun has already rejected Hashimoto's confession but he stated that he wants to learn more about her. Also, Hashimoto isn't a cry baby character and an optimist. There are moments where Hashimoto had been hurt by Akkun but instead of feeling down, she uses that pain as her fuel to make Akkun sees her for what she's worth.
6. Realistic relatonship problems
Most of romance dorama has unrealistic plot (super rich handsome man falling in love with the poorest most unattractive woman). In Kieta Hatsukoi, each characters relationship and problems are relatable and realistic. So we often portraying ourselves on to what Kieta Hatsukoi serves us. The engagement between a series story and the audience real life is what makes us want to see more of what the series have for us.
